Toninha

Toninha was, at the start of the 20th century, a centre of monarchic conspiracy and the name "Crosses of the Queimada Hill" became known due to the assassination of two monarchic partisans. A special not to its ustic houses and its espigueiros (small cereal warehouses). The village is crossed by a brook named "Nose of the World".
