Opened on October 22, 2004, the Municipal Museum of Ferreira do Alentejo is located in the Casa Agrícola Jorge Ribeiro de Sousa, being classified as a Property of Municipal Interest. This parish was born from the recent Administrative Division of the Municipality of Ferreira do Alentejo, in 1988. This church was constructed under the orders of archbishop Dom Gaspar of Bragança in 1784 and it was ready in 1811. It is one of the first neoclassic buildings in Portugal and it was drawn by the architect Carlos Amarante.
