City closely linked to the Templars and the Order of Christ. When they arrived to Portugal, they spread castles across different domains, but Tomar was the center of the territory. At a distance of about 20 km from Terras de Bouro, on the southernmostr area of the Gerês mountain, the Arado waterfall is part of a lovely group of waterfalls and numerous brooks of the Peneda-Gerês Natural Park. The Arado waterfall stands out because the water falls on several hedges. It can be acceded by the EM (Nogueira/Portela do Vade), at a distance of 7 km from the waterfall.
