Convent built in 1593, at the time owned by the Franciscan friars. In 1834, after extinct religious orders, passed into the possession of the Santa Casa da Misericórdia of Torres Novas.
This is a set of artificial caves, initially opened for stone mining. Archaeological objects have been found here that may date back to the Neolithic period and into Roman times.
