A village located at an altitude of about one thousand metres, part of the so-called "Terra Fria" (Cold Land). It gave its name to the Natural Park of Montesinho, of which it is a part. Its inhabitants still maintain some ancient communal uses. Do visit the "casa abrigo" (shelter house) and the dam. The area is also good for mountainering.
