A beach located on a hill, pleasant and with good quality water. There are restaurants of relativ quality there with high prices. The Pintadinho Beach is the first maritime beach in the parish of Lagoa, right after the mouth of the Arade river. A stone and cement wall ending in a small lighthouse separates the river and the sea and belongs both to the Pintadinho Beach and to the Molhe Beach. One may get to the beach by following the river course to its mouth or by a rather steep cliff.

To get to this secluded restaurant on a deserted island in the middle of Ria Formosa Natural Park, has to make a boat of about 35 minutes. The rice Museum Restaurant opened its doors in June 1996, on the premises of the former rice hulling factory gate. Been closed some time to restructure the building, having reopened with an excellent terrace area overlooking the rice paddies. Located by the river Tagus, in the western area of Lisbon, the National Coach Museum occupies the premises formerly belonging to the Oficinas Gerais do Exército (old General Military Workshops). The Royal Riding School, which used to belong to the Royal Palace of Belém, can still be visited as an exhibition nucleus of the National Coach Museum.

Planed by the architect Álvaro Siza Vieira to the Expo 98, the building is inspired in the Portuguese architecture typologies. It was one of the most visited pavilions at the expo and is now one of the ex-libris of the Parque das Nações and the place of international political meetings. The impressive “concrete sheet” suspended at the exterior gives the construction a singular touch of modernity.
