In this village, located by a stream that flows to the Dueça river, the mother church, rebuilt in the 19th century, with an 18th century door, the pillory (Public Interest Construction), the Boiça House and the old Garridos Manor stand out. The Podentes Cellars belong to the Route of the Beiras Wines. The craftswork includes tapestries.

This House-Museum, donated by Marta Ortigão Sampaio to the Porto municipality, rebuilds the atmosphere of the former owner, showing mostly jewellery and painting (we point out the works of Aurélia de Sousa, Sofia de Sousa and other painters from the end of the XIX, beginning of the XX centuries).

This is a medium garden, known especially for its views. From the garden you can see the Douro River, the typical buildings, the Alfândega (customs), the Palácio de Cristal and the Arrábida Bridge. You may also enjoy the quiet and the singing of the birds, like you were out of the city.

The avenue, former “Passeio Público”, was a residential area, although there are still remains of the walkway, with trees and lakes. Along the avenue are several monuments, from which stand out the monument paying homage to the word war dead soldiers, the statue of Alexandre Herculano, Almeida Garrett and Oliveira Martins.

This is one of the oldest bars in Porto, Irish-style, with some thirty years while maintaining a faithful clientele to a kind of alternative music. The décor style of an English pub, friendly service and snack service. Stands out for having a wide variety of beers, whiskies, cocktails and wines by the glass.

Temple of Romanesque origin rebuilt during the Renaissance, between 1517 and 1539. It has an interior with three naves and the chancel has a craftsmen's vault. The altarpiece on the high altar is made of stonework from the Coimbra Renaissance. The bell tower that makes up the main body of the facade stands out.

It is a Gothic temple with a Romanesque design, whose foundation is attributed to the Templars, with a longitudinal plan, consisting of a single nave and a porch on the gospel side, where the Romanesque door stands out on the opposite elevation. Highlight the enormous diversity of dog motifs and the central framing of the bell tower with three windows.

Of the original Moorish castle, later renovated by King Dinis, only traces of the enclosure remain. Built during the Restoration Wars, the bastions lowered the defensive lines to the vicinity of the Guadiana River, a natural border. Of the existing buildings, the old Town Hall and the Senate House, in ruins, stand out.

The building at the Galeria de Paris Street was built in 1906. Its façades is Art Nouveau style covered with azulejos (tiles). The decoration in ashlar masonry and the unusual circular window that overlays the portal stand out. This circular window is dived in three parts, of glass and iron, and is at the first floor.

The Boa Nova Lighthouse began to function in 1926 and until 1962 it housed the School of Lighthouse keepers. It is the second largest lighthouse in the country, with a tower 46 meters high. Between 2003 and 2004, the Lighthouses Directorate carried out improvement works, such as the construction of a museum center and the conversion of accommodation.
