The original chapel was built in the late 17th century and was later renovated in the 19th and 20th centuries. Highlights include the side altarpieces and the image of Christ, purchased from the Santa Casa da Misericórdia and brought from the demolished Misericórdia Church.

This museum displays permanent collections of archaeological remains from the Neolithic, Iron Age, Roman era, Middle Ages and Modern Era. The highlight is a sarcophagus from a Roman mausoleum found in the necropolis of the Church of Santa Maria de Finisterre.

Building from the 16th and 17th centuries with a Renaissance typology. It has a gardened churchyard, from which it is possible to glimpse a large surrounding area. The village's patron saint, Nossa Senhora da Assunção, gives the church its name.

Simple church, founded in 1655 by Dr. Sebastião Lopes Toscano. Temple with a single rectangular nave. The highlight is the tile composition from the 16th century. The altar has the image of Our Lady of Conception, in wood from the 16th century.

Manueline window from the beginning of the XVI century, originally from the Quinta do Castelo and reused during the works of the casa dos Pereiras in 1950’s. This window is characterized for its decorative richness that shows the influence of the Italian renaissance.

Church dating from the 18TH century, designed by the architect André Soares, crowned by two towers built in the mid-nineteenth century. The staircase balustrade and the altarpiece of the main Chapel, dating from the late 18th century, classic style.

This baroque temple construction was ordered by the abbot Afonso de Meira Carrilho on the XVIII century. It stands out its sculpture from the Saviour, an oeuvre done by the Master João Alves, dated from the XIX century and for the baptismal font.

These are only fragments from the pillory which until half of the 19th century was in Largo de São João in front of the City Council house and next to the Chapel of São João and Cabo House. The others remnants from the pillory are missing.

Imposing, high on the mountain, the 1200 meters of altitude, in a unique recovery by the hand of the Architect Souto Moura, reborn a wonderful Pousada de Portugal. The iconic building of Penhas da Saúde returns with all the sophistication and splendor of other times. With opening the April 1, 2014, Pousada da Serra da Estrela has 92 rooms (including two with spa concept), spa, indoor and outdoor swimming pool, meeting rooms and restaurant. Everything has been studied to the smallest detail so that the new project would save the original building built in the early 20th century.

Castle overlooking the town, where the Church of São Miguel, dating from the 15th century, and a set of anthropomorphic graves from the late Middle Ages stand out. It has a polygonal, irregular shape and is made up of walls and several towers from the 15th and 16th centuries. It preserves the Vila Door and the Betrayal Door, the latter with Moorish influences. This is the second-largest castle on the Mondego defensive line.
