This Romanic church was built on the 13th century and here one stands out the paintings and the main chapel carving and the ceiling with coffers. The doorway is topped by a rose window and it possesses four archivolts settled in four columns with decorated capitals. The nave has rather big dimensions and finishes in triumphal arch with two half columns and capitals with zoomorphic decoration.

This church has a Romanic structure that through the time it underwent several transformations. It still maintains the corbel and two rose windows on the façades. It presents on covered porch connecting the main façade to the campanile. On the inside it has a nave and the cross arch settled on columns with worked capitals from the primitive period. It stands out the main chapel with carving altarpieces.

The building conserves the lancet doors and it is surrounded by a porch. On the façade left side there is the bell ringer tower. On the inside it presents a nave wrapped in glazed tiles under the “carpet” type, from 1681 standing out, also, the remaining glazed tiles coverage that decorates the church. The Manueline main chapel possesses an ample lancet arch and crossed vault.

Manueline gateway with straight lintel, garnished by canopied arch framed by perfect curve arches. Coming from a house in the historic centre of Beja, it documents the popularization of the ornamental manueline lexicon at Baixo Alentejo during the beginning of the XVI century. It stands out for its richness in decoration, showing an exuberant taste that made the school of the manueline architecture in Beja.
