Legend of Mary keeping it that after this have had seven sons, and as at that time considered themselves infidels women who had more than one son, this sent fire on six of its seven river newborns. This fifteen hundreds temple has three naves with five ranks with round arches. Baroque church of longitudinal plan consists of nave and chancel. Features a two Tower Records divided by the cornice, with its Bell in round arch. Interior of the Church has a choir-high, presenting the Gospel, pulpit and baptistery foursquare. Along the walls are two cruises and others painted on the stonework of the corners and frames, composing a Via Crucis and a Calvary. Watch out in the grave with stone bearing the headstone, next to the sacristy. There are two sinks of holy water: a simple and other more elaborate.

The set is formed by a tower, the Casa do Despacho and Clérigos Church. This monument is the maximum exponent of the Porto’s baroque style. Although it is less known than the Clérigos Tower, the Clérigos Church was built first, between 1732 and 1750. It is a Nasoni’s typical construction. Inside, the golden carving and the baroque, rococo and neoclassic pelmets stand out. This was the first big work by Nasoni and the one which made him famous. Revivalist neo-Gothic church, with a longitudinal drawing and three naves, being the main façade flanked by two asymmetrical towers. You can see a great influence of the gothic style, at the pointed arches and the constant presence of glass windows. Santa Maria Church is placed in a square with old buildings from which we stand out the Torrinha house, the former building for the City Hall and another Manueline building with a Coat of Arms on the door. It still preserves the apse structure, the porch, the baroque altars and the “Tree of Life” represented on a lateral chapel. Located in a small square where there is also a fountain with a baroque back and coat of arms, the parish church of Lobrigos stands out for its main facade which is, at the same time, the base of the bell tower. With a square plan, here, on its three sides, there are round arches, forming a galilee that precedes the entrance to the temple. The body of the church develops longitudinally, towards the back, featuring a single nave with a high choir, and rectangular chancel. This beautiful manor house has a central courtyard involved by galleries. It stands out in the access to the courtyard through an ogival chamfered arch in stone, the Duke de Cadaval Coat of Arms in glazed tiles and a sundial. The gate is in stonework, with straight lintel, framed by a lancet arch supported by corbels and crowned on the centre with Duke de Cadaval Coat of Arms. On its decorative elements it displays the Mudejar influence in design and technique conjugating with the Manueline. Decorating the building there are twin brick windows filled with decorative elements.

This 16th-century building retains its hall-church structure. The church stands out for its large dimensions, the creation of a unified space, and the influence of formal solutions taken from treatises that recall one of the elaborate creations of the Plain Architecture in the south of the country. Inside, some proto-Baroque altars and a set of paintings by André Reinoso deserve special mention. Also, noteworthy are the gilded and polychrome altarpieces, the tile panels, and the statuary. It was rebuilt in 1590 on the site of the original church of Santiago Maior.
