At Fonte da Telha, near the beach, the South is an experience that blends the hostel, with gastronomy and the surf! The hostel has a relaxed environment, with rooms for groups and free internet, Italian-inspired restaurant and how to surfing, there is a school which offers classes.

Fifty seconds is how long it takes to take the elevator to the Fifty Seconds restaurant. The ambience of the room and the inspiring location, 120 meters high, overlooking the Tagus River, accompany each dish, which tells a story of flavors of the world.

The Municipal Library is located in the city centre, in one of the buildings of the Fábrica Escola Irmãos Stephens (School Factory Brothers Stephens). It is part of the National Public Reading Libraries Network. The building has two floors with papers and magazines, adult books, infantile and juvenile books and so forth.

The collection clearly shows the populations faith to Our Lady of Porto D'Ave. It consists of paintings that picture a miracle performed at a time of affliction. In every panel one can see the image of the protective saint and a subtitle telling how the miracl occured.

On the Harbour, next to the River Douro, is much sought after for lunch for the service of ordinaries for very affordable prices. Good service and good presentation.

If there are places where you can say that if you eat to much and the Portuguese, one of them is this very old restaurant, renovated in the year 2000.

A restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere, plenty of natural light and a rather friendly service. Much attended at lunch time. Dinners have to be requested previously.
