The first cloister consists of a vast landscaped quadrangle. At its center is a granite fountain dating from the 17th century. The two-story cloister has four double arches on each side, separated externally by dressed stone buttresses. The second cloister has an identical configuration, though smaller. The cloister vaults have molded ribs resting on carved cylindrical corbels.

The Carmo convent was the first of the Carmelite Order to be founded in Portugal, in 1251, by the knights of the Order of Malta. However, nothing remains of the original work, having been built again in the 16th century. It is one of the most significant monuments in Baixo Alentejo. It presents a harmonious set of Gothic and Renaissance elements, with special mention to the Renaissance portico, the vaulted chapels, the 18th century tiles and the cloister.

Has a games room, a wine cellar\/tasting room, two terraces and an interior patio.

Chapel situated on a small elevation, in the old Rossio das Hortas, surrounded by houses on both sides and with a front patio. Ancient records do repackage its existence to the year 1536. It was then remodelled in the 17th and 18th centuries. Inside are murals, chronicling nine moments of life of St. Peter. The paintings have a baroque nature and are subtitled in archaic Portuguese. Is located on private property.
