In an old reclassified agricultural property, visitors are invited to discover the rural world and to adopt sustainable lifestyle habits and to protect the environment, through a set of educational and leisure activities. It has themed gardens, a picnic area, biological vegetable gardens, bicycles, a treetop adventure park, a children's climbing wall and a Canine Training Centre.

It brings together a collection of around two thousand drawings by the painter Júlio Resende. This space develops a vast educational service and promotes the most diverse cultural events, with emphasis on temporary exhibitions, concerts, conferences and workshops.

Installed in the Macau Pavilion, in Parque Adão Barata, this gallery was built with the aim of bringing the population closer to the arts, therefore offering permanent exhibitions of artists recognized in the national and international scene.

Ample space, located in the city centre, consisting of the Cine-Teatro garden, the Congress Hall (Hall of Magnolias), the Municipal Galleries, the Internet space and the youth information Office.

This project by the Catalan architect Josep Lluis Mateo stands out in the city center landscape for its innovative architecture. It is a hollow building, clad in metal and wood, with four floors. In addition to the exhibition spaces, it has a synthetic ice skating rink and an auditorium with 275 seats, equipped with a high-quality acoustic system, without the use of amplification systems.

Casa Roque Gameiro, built between 1898 and 1901, is currently open to the public and you can visit some of the rooms in the house, profusely decorated with tiles by Bordalo Pinheiro, as well as temporary exhibitions on the two lower floors.

This space intends to be a dynamic center for comics and other associated arts, such as illustration and animation cinema.

The Lethes Theater is named after a mythical river, whose waters had the power to erase life's annoyances and sadness from memory. A perfect name for a place where performance is used to entertain the spectators.

In this theater, in operation since 1999, take place the main cultural events of the city, from music to theater, through dance and poetry. It also organizes workshops, ateliers, temporary exhibitions and gatherings. There is also the "Canto do Teatro", a space dedicated to the memory of the former Teatro Viriato (Theatro Boa União), which operated between 1883 and 1960.

In a building donated by the Soares family, the Casa-Museum of the Mário Soares Foundation and the João Soares Cultural Center are located. In addition to the permanent exhibition, entitled "Portuguese 20th Century: The Paths of Democracy - João Soares / Mário Soares", there are other spaces that host temporary exhibitions, a library and other cultural initiatives.
