A Olaria é uma das mais antigas e tradicionais atividades da vila de Viana, tendo características próprias. Através dos tempos foi caracterizada pelo seu aspeto grosseiro e simples, devido à não existência de motivos decorativos, o que hoje em dia já não acontece.
