Ruins of the Royal glassworks established in the 18th century, in 1719. This factory produced glass white, crystalline type glass, glazing, mirrors and green glass. In 1747, due to lack of vegetable fuel, was transferred to the Marinha Grande. Currently only a few traces remain.

In the beginning of the 20th century, most precisely in 1907, Afredo da Silva buys a plot of ground from the Bensaúde family in the Lezíria, between the North Beach in Barreiro and the Moinhos Beach in Lavradio, and there he builds the C.U.F. factories. It started labouring in the next year with an olive husk transformation unit in order to produce soap, which employed 100 workers. In 1909 appears the first factory of sulphuric acid and super phosphate to produce fertilizers. Moinhos de Vento de Alburrica

Three old deactivated and well-maintained windmills found on the river beach of Alburrica. The group consists of the Giant Windmill, Windmills of Spring (both built in 1852 by José Pedro da Costa) and the Windmill Poente built in the same year by José Francisco da Costa. These specimens fed with flour the ovens of the largest manufacturing unit of biscuit production in the country.

It has a pemanent exhibition: " an identity's pathway" where places and some of the history of the Barreiro parish are pictured. One can view, among others, an 18th century tile panel with the image of Our Lady of Rosary as well as old traditional boats. There is also a temporary exhibition where archeologists work.
Convento da Madre de Deus da Verderena

The construction of this convent started in the 15th century and was founded by Dona Francisca de Azambuja, a descendant of one of the most ilustrious families in Barreiro. Its architecture is simple and austere. It went through several works, namely at the beginning of the 18th century. When the religious orders were extinguished it became a farm for the summer vacations. In 1995, the building, that belonged to the town hall, as recovered and restored. It currently has an auditorium, a section of the municipal library, a bar and a centre of temporary exhibitions.
Casa Museu Alfredo da Silva

A building of 1907, where Alfredo da Silva lived when he came to Barreiro. Rather large luxury house with large pieces of furniture in wood. The space is perfectly preserved and one should note the many personal objects, such as boots, pyjamas, letters, accountant books, etc. There is also an auditorium (50 people) with a plan of the old CUF, that is used to tell the history of the park.
