This museum houses part of the local archaeological and ethnographic remains discovered after approximately a century of research. Artifacts used by the various peoples who have passed through here, from the most remote periods to the present day, are on display.

An annex to the monastery, with a varied collection consisting mostly of works of art that belonged to the Cistercian community of the monastery. 17th century building with two floors and a rectangular plant, two terraces. The infirmary was built in 1662 by the arrábidos Friars of the convent of Santo António. It worked then as various schools and, in 1902, he settled here to Infirmary School of Cavalry Practice.
