Initially belonging to a female monastery of the order of St. Benedict, founded in the 12th century. However, the extinction of the monastery, in 1418, and the subsequent construction of a new parish church dictated its gradual downfall. Despite the transformations suffered in the 18TH century, the original factory of this church, of small dimensions, constitutes a good testimony of late Romanesque architecture, as evidenced by its main portal. It is worth noting the dogs, of geometric decoration, their elevations sides and Corbels that accuse the existence of a porch on the South side of the Church.

The pedestrian walk may start at the Monastery of Saint João of Arga, after a brief visit of that building. Follow the Vezeira Trail, a typical trail where the cattle used to pass in the days of old. The Arga Mountain has a wide high plain on the top, the Chã Grande. At that point, there is a trail that is signaled by the Clube de Celtas do Minho (Celts Club of Minho), according to the criteria of the Federação Portuguesa de Campismo (Portuguese Camping Federation). Situated in praça da Ribeira, in the historic area of the city, this space occupies part of a block of buildings that date back to the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries. The set of buildings is classified as a Unesco World Heritage site and lies on the River Douro. It offers 45 rooms and 3 suites decorated with refinement, a restaurant and a bar. From here you can discover the historic center, take a cruise on the Douro River or visit the port wine cellars, on the other side.

Located in the historic area of ​​the village of Celorico da Beira, very close to the castle, stands this Cathedral of Serra da Estrela Cheese. The magnificent 17th-century building is worth a visit in itself. Dedicated to preserving the tradition of Serra da Estrela cheese, it is also part of the Farmer and Cheese Museum. Here you can buy and taste the famous cheese, as well as other regional delicacies such as black pudding, chorizo, ham, rye bread, honey, jams and wine.

Natural monument depicting footprints of Dinosaurs, considered an important fossil record of the Jurassic period, more precisely, of the sauropod dinosaurs. Note the limestone slab which records footsteps over 175 million years ago. There are around 20 paths or lanes, with guided tours, other autonomous. Be sure to visit the Jurassic Garden, so you can imagine the existing flora at the time, with authentic living fossils. In the store of nature you will find souvenirs to remember the visitor.

The core of the walled city, through the reconstitution of the defensive structure of the city, allow visitors a better understanding of the history and of the urban space of Coimbra. In the Tower of Almedina-interpretive center of the walled city — stands a model of the medieval city, an important contribution to a correct evaluation and interpretation of the main buildings of the medieval city. On the top floor has a panoramic image of Coimbra. The visit can be complemented with a pedestrian path, which will observe the traces of the wall have survived over the centuries.

Space Museum opened in 2002, with three storeys and four exhibition halls, where displays the earliest artistic traditions and Portuguese bread. The space is divided in Bread cycle Room, Room of political, Social and religious Bread, Bread art Room and Pedagogical Room. There is also a restaurant where the King is, as expected, the bread. Be sure to visit the old grocery store, where they acquire various kinds of bread here produced. Tertulias and temporary exhibitions are frequent activities of the Museum.

The Fundação Maria Isabel Guerra Junqueiro and Luís Pinto de Mesquita Carvalho, placed in front of the Museum-House with the same name, is a private foundation without lucrative ends, which includes a large bibliographic heap of Guerra Junqueiro, her daughter and son-in-law. The palace, dated from the XVII century, where this foundation is placed, is open to visit the permanent exhibition or any other events happening there, always regarding the life and work of the Portuguese writer.

Located at dock nº 2 of the former Parry & Son, in Cacilhas, the Frigate D. Fernando II e Glória is a 19th century vessel, the last ship of the "Carreira da Índia", and can be visited throughout the year. There, it is possible to learn about the history of the museum ship, which was restored in 1992, after a fire destroyed part of it, in 1963, and was open to the public at EXPO 98. Through an audio guide, it is possible to delve into naval history and travel back in time.

Located in the Centre of Castelo Vide, the Yellow House is a small solar, whose construction dates back to the 17th century and is classified as a Building of public interest. Its main facade of yellow ochre stands out in the square d. Pedro V evading patterns of Castelo de Vide. Near the House you can also visit the Chiesa Madre (mother church) of Santa Maria da Devesa, one of the largest religious temples of the Alto Alentejo.
