No restaurante Casa do Baixinho, em Paredes, a especialidade é o bacalhau folhado com creme bechamél, mas são muitas as iguarias regionais que vêm para a mesa. Primeiro vão chegando as dez entradas, de seguida o prato principal e por último a sobremesa, tudo por €15. Bacalhau com broa, naco com feijão e arroz, arroz de pato e cabrito assado no forno (ao domingo) são algumas das propostas para principal. Para a sobremesa pode optar por leite-creme e aletria ou sopa seca, se a visita for no carnaval ou encomendar.

The Cruzeiro São Domingos (calvary), also known as Cruzeiro de Nossa Senhora da Glória is from the end of the XV century. The original is inside the Aveiro Cathedral since the 70ies. It is a quattrocentist calvary with scenes of the Passion and Death of Jesus Christ sculpted in low relief.

This river has its spring at an altitude of about 860 metres, on the Lapa mountain, and then forms several channels and hence forms the Aveiro tidal stream. It is 148 kilometres long and its major tributaries are the Caima, Mau and Sul rivers, on the right bank, and the Águeda river, on the left bank.
