It is a mixture of architectural styles, the result of the amount of times it has been restored. You can visit the Gothic cloister and the treasury, with a very varied collection of silver objects, ecclesiastical vestments, images, manuscripts and relics related to São Vicente. On the outside, the façade stands out, with a porch and portal with four primitive Romanesque archivolts.

When you get to the mouth, the big Ria de Aveiro, the Vouga River spreads in fairways (being that some get into the city itself). Behind are 150 km, since the Serra da Lapa, and several contributions to thicken the flow, the last of them quite close to the mouth – the Águeda River.

This is a medieval tower with a quadrangular plan, initially part of the estate belonging to the Brandões lineage, which served as a fortified manor house with three floors. It consists only of the ruined structure of the four granite ashlar walls. On the northeast façade, a window extending to its base and corbels where a balcony (a type of wooden structure) would have rested stand out. On the main façade, a round-arched doorway with a lintel stands out. Visits are limited as it is located within the courtyard of a private house.

Between the valleys of the Minho and Lima rivers, already near the shore, we may view the imposing Arga Mountain. From its approximate altitude of 800 metres, the views are magnificent: the Atlantic Ocean, blue in the background, together with the green fields. The Coura river flows to the Minho river just before it gets to the sea, in Caminha. The Camaredo Pine Woods stretch the landscape to Moledo do Minho. Go down the Avenida da Liberdade and start on a discovery journey of the town historical centre. Here, you’ll find plenty of interesting points. In medieval times it was here built the building of the Town Hall, after being rebuilt in 1876. Consists of a longitudinal plan organized in function of a corridor that traverses the entire building. Initially, it worked here too the jail and the Court but currently works only the Town Hall.
