Sanctuary in honor of Saint Benedict, from where you can enjoy beautiful panoramic views of the entire Serra do Gerês mountain range. The chancel and altar are dedicated to this saint, a cult that dates back to the mid-18th century. The sanctuary hosts the main pilgrimage from August 10 to 15, and other festivities on March 21 and July 11.

The church consists of a rectangular nave and several dependencies, including the Dispatch Room. The main façade has an angular gable and quoins topped by pinnacles, and is pierced by a portal surmounted by a balustraded window with a broken pediment to accommodate the national coat of arms. Inside, the nave and elevated chancel are covered by the same three-tiered wooden ceiling, with the Joanine coat of arms painted on it.

Romanesque temple, built in the 12th century as part of a convent erected in 1067, constructed of granite ashlar. It features a portico with three archivolts supported by six small columns with sculpted capitals and projecting abaci. The rose window on the main facade is Gothic. The interior has a single nave, covered with wood, and a round, vaulted chancel with two bays, organized on two levels.

Characterized by a strong rural component, this set was once the centre of a playground area, in the town suburbs, organized in several farms, most of them long lost. Standing out there is a small house from the “pombalino” period, on the north top of the square, the asylum-school building “Viscondessa dos Olivais”, with more noble characteristics, and the Santa Mary church, with an initial 17th century sketch and profoundly altered after the earthquake.
