Originally built as a hospital in 1659, was delivered to the religious of St. John of God to take care of the soldiers of the war of restoration. In 1716 the hostels was now defunct, being later used as factory and headquarters.

The historic center of Miranda do Corvo has succumbed to urban growth, but has retained its original characteristics and is now a pleasant and welcoming place, with narrow streets and well-preserved facades.

A rather old restaurant, with large, comfortable rooms. It serves quite well prepared dishes of the Minho region. Fast and kind service. It was deeply remodelled in 2004 and is now a mandatory point of interest.

Ancient mother church of Almada, it was building in the early Christian reconquest and was severely damaged by the earthquake in 1755. It was later rebuilt in the 18th century by Dom António, a brother of the king Dom João V. The chancel has a stone domed ceiling in the manuelin style. The high altar has a few tombs and valuable 18th century tiles. Archaeological digs have uncovered tombs from as early as the 12th century.
