The campsite Quinta do Convento, situated in the foothills of Mount of São Brás, in serra da Gardunha, is surrounded by leafy trees, with magnificent views over the Cova da Beira and the Serra da Estrela. This is the space of choice for enjoying moments of relaxation in contact with nature. Is starting point for discovering the potentials of the municipality of Fundão-on footpaths or cycle-where tradition and modernity come together in complete harmony.

The Sanctuary of São Bento das Pêras, located atop the hill of the same name, at an altitude of 410 meters, is a pilgrimage site for thousands of believers. The religious festival honoring this patron saint of Vizela takes place on July 11th, with a procession and an open-air mass. It is a pleasant gathering place for the masses. Some also visit the site simply to enjoy the magnificent panoramic views of the Vizela River valley.

This islet plan with about twenty hectares of extension was classified as Partial Natural Reserve in 1984. The whole island and the adjacent coast were classified as a Special Protection area due to the importance of its avifauna. Here can be found several species, with emphasis on the common tern cagarro, garajau – rosado and angelito. Access is prohibited but, for those who want to see, just go to the viewing point of the tip.

Also called Santa Luzia hill, it is located by th city of Viana do Castelo. From the belvedere, 249 metres high, one can view the city, the Lima valley and the sea. On the top thre is the Santa Luzia Church. The ascent to the top can be made on foot, elevator or car. It is a space of rare beauty, with diversified vegetation, the celtic village (citânia) of Santa Luzia and the Tílias Park.

It is one of the must-see spots in the riverside parish of Valada. Fluvina welcomes small and medium-sized recreational boats and is a pleasant leisure area, from where it is possible to contemplate a beautiful panoramic view over the Tagus River and the floodplain fields. It is also quite popular with fans of water sports and, right next to it, there is a river beach, much appreciated in the warmer months. There is also a picnic area nearby.

One part of the beach is quite rocky, while the other is more touristy, where sargassum is harvested.
