On the south façade of this church are worthy of notice the modern style glazed tiles: one related to the Comércio Square before the earthquake of 1755 and the other referring to the Christian invasion of São Jorge Castle in 1147. The classification of National Monument relates to the graves, with Portuguese or Latin inscriptions distributed by the main chapel, arms of the transept and nave. A building located in the historic area of the city of Vila Nova de Gaia, near the port wine cellars and dated from the 17th century. It has an L architectural structure with two floors and a stone staircase leading to the noble floor. On the west side one may view the chapel and the gardens. The chapel and the entire surrounding set, the gardens included, ar classed as a Public Interest Construction.

The construction was initiated during the reign of Dom Manuel I and finished in the reign of Dom João III. It has two floors, entirely built in granite. The lower floor is formed by a shed with thre ogival arches. In the upper floor there are three windows with balconies. One can also view, on the top of the windows, a royal shield, an armillary sphere and a sailboat, heraldic symbol of Viana do Castelo.

The Sanctuary of São Bento das Pêras, located atop the hill of the same name, at an altitude of 410 meters, is a pilgrimage site for thousands of believers. The religious festival honoring this patron saint of Vizela takes place on July 11th, with a procession and an open-air mass. It is a pleasant gathering place for the masses. Some also visit the site simply to enjoy the magnificent panoramic views of the Vizela River valley.

This islet plan with about twenty hectares of extension was classified as Partial Natural Reserve in 1984. The whole island and the adjacent coast were classified as a Special Protection area due to the importance of its avifauna. Here can be found several species, with emphasis on the common tern cagarro, garajau – rosado and angelito. Access is prohibited but, for those who want to see, just go to the viewing point of the tip.
