Castle overlooking the town, where the Church of São Miguel, dating from the 15th century, and a set of anthropomorphic graves from the late Middle Ages stand out. It has a polygonal, irregular shape and is made up of walls and several towers from the 15th and 16th centuries. It preserves the Vila Door and the Betrayal Door, the latter with Moorish influences. This is the second-largest castle on the Mondego defensive line.

The Fábrica de Chá Gorreana began planting tea in 1874, but it was only in 1883 that the first tea came off the production line. The retrospective of tea production can be visited daily at the Gorreana farm. Then, among ancient tea production machines, enjoy an aromatic tea. It has a private park.

It is a history museum, with a permanent exhibition organized in four parts: "Knowledge of the Azores Islands", "Angra, the Azores and the World", "From the General Captaincy to Liberalism" and "From the 2nd half of the 1800s to the present". Also noteworthy are Azorean paintings on wood from the 16th-17th centuries and an Artillery Battery that Portugal used in the 1st World War.

This church was founded on the 12th century and it underwent several transformations due to its continuous reconstruction work. It is composed by three naves and main chapel, two sacristies, main chapel, two lateral chapels and bell tower. Presently it displays a Manueline physiognomy. On the inside it is worthy to mention the altars, the altarpiece in gold carving, the statuary, and the scenes representing São João Baptista life on the central nave.

This church is also known as São Luís Church, together with the monastery it was founded in 1596 by Luís de Figueiredo Falcão and used to belong to the Clarisse orders. It has some elements from the sixteen hundreds and from the eighteen hundreds. From the first period, it stands out the only nave, the ceiling and the main chapel coverage; from the second period stands out the doorway, the windows and the main elevation.
