Montemor-o-Velho

Building built in the 11th century was restored between 1490 and 1510. It features a Manueline style with a naturalistic character, already influenced by the Renaissance. Inside, with three naves, the three altarpieces stand out, the main one from the 17th century and the secondary ones from the 16th century. Outside, the highlight is the door on the side wall, which has some Moorish influence.

This building has one only nave covered with tiles from the XVII century and rectangular main chapel which displays ashlars in tile topped by two painted panels from the XVII century with carving frames. In both sides there are the square towers with the bells. It should be pointed out that the classification includes the entire cover in tiles, carving and painted panels.

Deeply altered in the Modern Age, the Church of São Cristóvão, in the former municipality of Nogueira, is structurally a medieval, late Romanesque building, from which the axial portal and, on the sides, corbels, cornices, and frieze sections survive. Inside, the work of the main altarpiece and collateral altarpieces is notable, although most of this integrated heritage has been profoundly altered by recent interventions.

This church is notable building for its opulence and grandeur. Its foundation goes back to the first nationally times. In 1673, began its reconstruction that finished only in 1720. Its façade grows in height, with the two bell towers. The inside is one nave only, with wood ceiling. Worthy of notice are the 16 canvas, cased with gold wood carving and the main chapel.

From the fifteen hundreds period, the church still preserves the Manueline door, with slender columns and decoration using vegan elements. The inside has one only nave with tunnel ceiling with painted coffers. It should be mentioned the altarpiece on the main altar from the 17th century and the glazed tiles cover. The Calvary, placed in the church yard is from the 17th century, as well.

This church is located in the main square of Salvaterra de Magos, with construction beginning in 1296 and undergoing several subsequent renovations. In the former sacristy, one of the tile panels bears a cartouche with the date 1725. Inside, one of the naves has a false wooden vaulted ceiling with a painting depicting its patron saint, Saint Paul, rising to heaven, guarded by a group of angels.

Aljezur

A 16th-century church, rebuilt in the 18th century after the 1755 earthquake. It features a Renaissance portal, and its interior is extremely simple, with a single nave and a triumphal arch. The altarpiece in the main chapel, a polychrome woodwork decorated with gilded Baroque carvings, is noteworthy. One of the church's wings currently houses the Monsenhor Manuel Francisco Pardal Museum of Sacred Art.
