Building covered with tile panels from the Fonte Nova Factory (1916), which reproduce information on the main monuments of the region and the country. They have an exceptional quality, not only for their artistic quality but also for their informative and pedagogical quality. It dates back to the 19th century and, despite its modernist style, follows the typology of the so-called "Portuguese House".

The Church of Santa Maria de Sobretâmega is a late medieval building that, however, retains a Romanesque flavor unique to this region. The location of this church, which replaced the parish church of the former parish of São Pedro de Canaveses, was an initiative of Queen Mafalda, founder of the inn and the bridge of Canaveses. In fact, it was the construction of the bridge itself that prompted the church's new location.

Building dated from the end of the XVIII century, the former residence of the Carvalhal Counts. The seven wicker balconies in forged iron and the portal sided by two iron lanterns are worthy of notice. It worked as a hotel, a college and international club and is now the property of the City Council and headquarters of Regional Archive of Madeira, the Municipal Library, the Museum and the Municipal aquarium of Funchal.

These are the remains of an ancient Roman castle, built on a site overlooking the city. Of the original medieval fortress, only a few sections of the wall remain, some integrated into other buildings and not always visible. Casal do Rei, a village of 150 inhabitants, mostly farmers and resin extractors, is located at 6 km away from Vide. Its architectural heritage includes the chapel that evokes Saint Joseph. The legend says that Domingos de Fugueiredo, a friar that escaped his convent, found refuge in this village and oredered the building of the chapel. This village stands out for its schist houses and for its communal ways of life (including the olive oil press, the oven and the mill). Nearby, there is a wood with vestiges of primitive vegetation.

It was one of the first villages with register, dated from 1195. Located at the foot of the southerly ladder of Gardunha Sierra, it stands out for its architectonical patrimony: the Town house, pillory, mother-church (where is the reliquary of S. Vicente), Misericórdia church (with the sacra art museum), chapels of Santo António, S. Sebastião and S. Francisco and Nossa Senhora da Orada, Calvary, emblazoned houses, fountain, Town hall and Misericórdia Hospital.
