The urban park of the Ul, green space occupying an area equivalent to 30 football fields, is a modern and functional place of walk and recreation of the inhabitants of São João da Madeira and its visitors. Located in the city centre, the Park was designed by architect Sidónio Pardal and is characterized by the surrounding walls in granite and by a tree-lined interior that meanders the river Ul. It is a large space that invites to long walks or strolls in family through the freshness of the river and dams that were built there.

Doce muito peculiar em forma de estrela, que começou por ser apenas uma receita caseira, presente em reuniões familiares na ilha Graciosa. Atualmente, a confeção deste doce está concentrada na freguesia de São Mateus (Vila da Praia), sendo também vulgarmente conhecidas como "Queijadas da Praia". Encontram-se espalhadas por todo o país embaladas em caixinhas azuis.

With a mild climate and balanced temperature and humidity, the São Jorge Thermal Baths are surrounded by beautiful gardens. Featuring both a historic building and a completely modern one, its sulphurous waters are indicated for the treatment of respiratory, skin, rheumatic, and musculoskeletal diseases, also emphasizing prevention and health promotion, with a range of treatments focused on physical and psychological well-being. The mineral waters are collected from a single spring, 90 meters deep, and have a natural temperature of 23º.

Founded in the 15th century, the Parish Church of Ribeira Brava, or São Bento, has undergone several interventions over time, and therefore presents Manueline, Mannerist, and Baroque characteristics. It houses a varied and rich collection of paintings, sculptures, goldsmithing, and woodcarving from the 16th and 17th centuries, making it one of the most important heritage sites in the region. Its treasure has been exhibited at the Royal Museum of Fine Arts in Brussels, and within the church, it constitutes the Silverware Collection.

The Church of São Miguel, which was elevated to the rank of Cathedral in 1956, is located in an area where, since 1213, there are traces of a temple, which would have belonged to the Templars. It was rebuilt in the Renaissance style in the 17th century, although elements from the various construction stages are visible, such as the 16th-century transept, the 17th-century altarpieces or the 18th-century chancel. It has only one nave, separated from the chancel by a Renaissance arch, and the façade has few ornaments.

Anyone unfamiliar with the Aire and Candeeiros mountain ranges might think that their elevations of 577 and 613 meters respectively would be nothing extraordinary in terms of landscape. However, this massif, stretching between Ourém in the north and Rio Maior in the south, is a veritable kingdom of (limestone) stone. Besides the two mountain ranges that give it its name, it includes the Serra de Mendiga, the Santo António Plateau, and part of the São Mamede Plateau. Also, noteworthy is the Dinosaur Footprints Natural Monument.

Gifted with a truly mind-blowing and fascinating views over the city of Lisbon, São Jorge Castle and the river Tagus, should the latter and its privileged location the Tágide name. Noble room, tastefully decorated, with multiple panels of tiles, beautiful chandeliers and 18th-century stone fountains, establishing a distinguished and refined environment. The letter is an evolution with respect for traditional Portuguese cuisine. The scallops sautéed with mousse of "snowball" and veal cheeks in slow cooker are highlights of the last menu.

Restaurant Café of the hunters, in São Bartolomeu de Messines, is a small house and very familiar, which boasts immodestly titled the King of snack. In fact, they, snacks, and, after looking at the menu, you can always ask for "fried carminhos". Cockles, barnacles, eels, cuttlefish and calamari are on offer in this House, with snacks, served in pires to cost € 5. The House, obviously, also offers hunting in a timely manner. As can be read on the façade: "Bring the plafon we have material"

O restaurante e taberna regional Gininha, em Vila Verde, serve boa comida regional, numa ambiente a fazer lembrar as antigas tabernas. As especialidades são mais que muitas, destacando-se o cabrito assado no forno, o arroz pica no chão (cabidela), o cozido à portuguesa, o arroz de pato, a vitela mendinha assada no forno e ainda as papas de serrabulho, na sua época.
