Located in the environs of Silves, this engraved cross dates back to the 16th century. It is three metres high and is engraved in sedimentary rock. One of the sides depicts the crucifixion and the other one the descent from the cross. This viewpoint affords a beautiful view over the fortress.
This theme park welcomes children from 3 to 15 years old and their families. It is a city built in small size, but almost real, with more than 60 different professions that take place in replicas of: airport, stadium, theater, shops, police station, fire department, automobile circuit, press, television studio and many others. All activities have the dual mission of educating and entertaining. In addition to being closely monitored by qualified animators, the city also has an RFID location system for children and adults. It is also the ideal place for birthday parties or school visits.
Inaugurated in 1940, this space features small replicas of typical Portuguese houses, monuments, and traditional and colonial architecture. The Bissaya Barreto Museum, created and designed by architect Cassiano Branco, has been part of the Bissaya Barreto Foundation's heritage since 1959. The exhibits also include a spacesuit museum, a naval display, and furniture. The highlight is the Brazilian pavilion, which hosts several temporary exhibitions.
