A beach with a long stretch of sand at the mouth of the Colares river, with good access and a picturesque tram that runs down the entire valley. It has beautiful rock formations surrounded by the village of Colares. The area has a children's playground and traditional restaurants serving fish and seafood dishes.

A pebble beach located in the center of Ribeira Brava, with good conditions for swimming and sunbathing. It also has a sand field for football and another for volleyball, and two swimming pools.

The natural pools of Mosteiros, also known as Carneiros Pools or Poço da Pedra Pools, are one of the most charismatic spots on the island of São Miguel. They have crystal-clear waters and were created by volcanic activity and the action of the sea.

The Ponta Delgada Marina, also known as Portas do Mar, was inaugurated in July 2008. In this leisure and commercial area you can find a maritime terminal, a recreational marina, a swimming pool, a parking lot, an amphitheater and a sea pavilion. There is also, as one would expect, a wide variety of shopping arcades, restaurants, bars and shops.

A beach with a vast expanse of sand and several dune systems, secluded and of great natural beauty. It is one of the few golden beaches in Portugal, deserving this title because it preserves the ecological balance of the area.

Praia da Mata Nacional das dunas de Mira. An isolated beach, surrounded by lush pine trees and dunes dotted with greenery, known as Praia Dourada. Very calm and idyllic, it has a sandbar that, at low tide, creates small lagoons.

A river beach formed by natural springs known as Olhos de Fervença. It has a recreation and leisure area, some pedestrian trails, a bar with a terrace, changing rooms, a picnic area, and a playground.

This beach is situated in a typical and beautiful fishing village. The sand of Palheiros is one of the largest in the country, a magnificent stretch of sand approximately 12 to 15 km long. This beach is perfect for surfing, and in the summer it also has a water park and the necessary equipment. The fishermen's huts, with their equipment for the traditional fishing method known as "xávega," are located in the northern area, sheltered by the dune system that extends there and forms a barrier protecting from sea winds and preventing storms from causing damage inland.

A very touristy beach with idyllic scenery, calm and crystal-clear waters that invite swimming, ideal for families. Restaurants are available.
