Hidden from the city of Horta by Monte Queimado, Porto Pim Beach has soft, black sand, very typical of these volcanic islands. The bay of Porto Pim is, without a doubt, a place of rare beauty. Monte da Guia and the aforementioned Monte Queimado constitute natural barriers to the entry of sea water, making these waters calm and deep blue. Its green spaces and fortification, make that bathers consider it the best beach on the island.

Located on the left bank of the Arado river, this small stretch of sand has excellent lansdscapes. Quite pleasant and lovely, the Molhe Beach is sided by the Pintadinho Beach. A stone and cement sea wall separates the beaches (and the river from the sea) and ends in a small, yet lovely lighthouse. It is an excellent option to watch the fishermen or jog a little. To get to the beach, one may follow the river to its mouth or descend a steep cliff, at the Pintadinho Beach.

Inserted in the tourist complex Golden dunes Beach Club, Saudade is the restaurant specializing in seafood from the resort. With light décor in shades of blue, beige and pastel and views of the pools and Lake, the atmosphere invites you to relax and enjoy the internationally inspired cuisine. With a dining experience recognized, offers a warm service and a good wine list. During the summer nights features live music and, on Sundays, performs a special barbecue accompanied by musician resident.

The space of the Solar do Bacalhau restaurant is huge and occupies an old name of gastronomic reference in Coimbra. From a famous Italian, it has become a traditional one also famous where, now, cod is king, here served in its most diverse forms: in onions, cooked with everyone, roasted or on bread. But there is life beyond cod. The sirloin steak with mustard sauce is proof of this, as well as the offer of pizzas that, although unlikely in a restaurant of this kind, are delicious.

The restaurant Bola de Prata, on guard, reopened in 2013, with a new approach. From traditional snack bar is assumed now with a modern Tavern, with traditional dishes and good snacks. Gizzards, woodpecker, blood sausage and pig ear Guard are some of the options to consider. If you choose the ordinaries (6,50 €, with entrees, soup, main, dessert and coffee), the right choice is the posta mirandesa. In the cold winter days beirão can rely on the warmth of the fireplace.

The Brewery Restaurant João Gordo, in Leiria, is located right next to the station for 20 years and "give" good snacks to who by there passes. With extended hours, from 10 at two in the morning, the João Gordo promises not to leave anyone hungry. With the cheeses, sausages, or with the various salads, or with special snacks. Try the Frittata with corn bread (€5,50) or the Woodpecker to our sets (€ 4). For lovers of seafood fried shrimp is mandatory to Fat (€9,50). Accompany with the beer of the House.

The restaurant source is a biological kitchen project associated with the supermarket chain BRIO. Nice and simple space invites you to try the dishes made with organic products.In the Source restaurant you can choose from a diverse set of suggestions for all meals of the day (always with products of the season), while enjoying the genuine flavor of organic foods. These functional spaces, contemporary lines and with the simplicity of a self-service, are ideal to eat healthily and be with family and friends.

A space composed of three rooms and inaugurated in 2006 that means to bring to the south bank of the Douro river the specialities of the Ponte da Pedra restaurant (located in Marco de Canaveses). The menu is composed of several entries (of the traditional Portuguese cuisine), a main dish (to choose from) and tens of desserts. A special note to the picanha brochette, which is a meat dish, and to the Bacalhau à Zé do Pipo (a cod dish). There is live music on Saturday evenings.

A building located in the city center, with neoclassical features. The facade is covered in beautiful yellow tiles, except for the entrance which is rusticated with columns. There are two arbors attached to the property wall. Inside the building, there are two symmetrical ponds, from which a fountain flows. The building has similar floors, marked by enormous windows framed in granite, whose upper line follows the triangular pediment that, in line with the roofs, marks the main entrance and finishes off the balustrade.

The Stupa Tashi Gomang, a temple belonging to the Guhya Mantrika Buddhist community, is located in the Santa Susana Retreat Center in Alcácer do Sal. It is one of the largest Buddhist temples in the Western world, standing 16 meters tall with an internal temple measuring 36 square meters, prepared for rituals, ceremonies, and lectures. Among the materials used in its construction, Alentejo marble stands out. The decoration, particularly the statues, originates from Tibet and Nepal.
