A stone and cement sea wall separates the beaches (and the river from the sea) and ends in a small, yet lovely lighthouse. It is an excellent option to watch the fishermen or jog a little. To get to the beach, one may follow the river to its mouth or descend a steep cliff, at the Pintadinho Beach.

A building located in the city center, with neoclassical features. The facade is covered in beautiful yellow tiles, except for the entrance which is rusticated with columns. There are two arbors attached to the property wall. Inside the building, there are two symmetrical ponds, from which a fountain flows. The building has similar floors, marked by enormous windows framed in granite, whose upper line follows the triangular pediment that, in line with the roofs, marks the main entrance and finishes off the balustrade.

Alcácer do Sal

The Stupa Tashi Gomang, a temple belonging to the Guhya Mantrika Buddhist community, is located in the Santa Susana Retreat Center in Alcácer do Sal. It is one of the largest Buddhist temples in the Western world, standing 16 meters tall with an internal temple measuring 36 square meters, prepared for rituals, ceremonies, and lectures. Among the materials used in its construction, Alentejo marble stands out. The decoration, particularly the statues, originates from Tibet and Nepal.
