Church with Mannerist, Baroque and neoclassical features, dating from the 17TH century. Consists of a single nave, with a side chapel and a chancel in axis. In the interior, especially the Mannerist and font to the Baroque altarpiece of the lateral Chapel national.

This 17th-century structure was built during the reign of Dom Pedro II to defend the coast from pirate attacks during the Restoration War. The fort's door is topped by a stone bearing the royal coat of arms.
