The name "Palácio de São Lourenço" refers to a monumental ensemble that comprises the Fortress, begun in the first half of the 16th century and completed in the Philippine period, and the Palace itself, comprising the halls on the noble floor dating from the last quarter of the XVIII century and the interior gardens. Currently, it is the official residence of the Minister of the Republic for the Madeira Autonomous Region.

A space dedicated to showcasing the culture and traditions of Porto Santo, Casa da Serra brings together many antique objects that tell the story of the people of Porto Santo. It is frequently visited by tourists on organized excursions. The preservation of the space is remarkable. It also has a shop where you can buy products from the island of Porto Santo.

Rustic and cosy Guest House, entered in local hospitality school, offering fantastic panoramic views of the islands of Pico and Faial.

This church has one only nave with coffers painted on the roof. The walls are covered with blue and yellow glazed tiles. The altarpieces stand out, as well as the columns with fluted shafts and an elegant sacrarium. Attention should also be paid to the sacristy roof painted with “rocaille” motifs.

Very pleasant place with a lake where you can cool off during warmer weather, and an area with stone tables and benches for picnics.

A well-preserved mill worth visiting. It's located south of the town center, off a dirt road. It offers great views of the entire village.

This temple has a contestable origin, since the authors characterise it as Visigoth, built on the 7th century. While some consider it as a 19th century construction, because they say it is influenced by the Mozarabs.
