This is one of the rock art sites in the Valley of the Coa, forming a rare set of this type of art, essentially composed of stone engravings dated from the Upper Paleolithic. At the core of Canada do Inferno were scheduled 36 already recorded rocks, mostly submerged since 1983 as a result of the construction of the dam do Pocinho. This church has one only Nave covered with tiles from the XVIII century, which show scenes from the Holy Mother life. There are three lateral arches ornate with golden carves that embrace carved altarpieces and altars from the XVIII century.
