Vila Nova de Foz Coa integrates in the demarcated Douro region, a fertile valley on the shores of the rivers Douro and Coa. The regional gastronomy revolves around local products, such as almonds, figs, olive oil, honey and wine. Be sure to taste the sour salad, cold water ball, the ball of oil and almond cookies.
