A long pedestrian trail that starts at the Alto da Rita (Rita's Peak), at an altotude of 450 metres. It combines nature and the rural ways of life. A special note to the Castle of Lanhoso, a National Monument, and the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Pilar.

A circular trail that is about 11.5 km long, along the seashore sand dunes. There are panels about the fauna, the flora and the geology. The second part of the trail crosses the villages of Costa Nova do Prado and of the Praia da Barra.

This village is currently submerged by the Vilarinho da Furna Dam. When the dam is emptied for cleaning or when the water level falls, during drought periods, one may still see the houses, the streets and the walls of the old village.
