In this space you will find meals made in a healthy way. From simple carrot soup or peas to the original fish curry, courgettes and pineapple passing, or special dishes like Coq au Vin, meat loaf in puff pastry, pork loin with plums or sausages accompanied with mashed chestnuts, among many others. The Marialfarroba also offers a wide range of dishes to order in takeaway.

The room is dominated by two huge tanks of live seafood and at the entrances loom large ham, queijo da serra, paio, clams and cooked shrimp. In main dishes have rice or bread, grilled grouper or seafood cataplana, eel stew or fried eel, Alewife, accompanied by fried bread, veal or lamb chops, steaks from the loin and empty. Finish the meal with a slice of cheesecake or cracked.

This space was born from the old house Paixanito, keeping the famous chef de cuisine and the extensive and delicious menu with more than forty snacks based on regional flavors with touches of modernity. Modern and minimalist decor of the restaurant Paixa, along with large Windows letting in plenty of light, make this a very cosy place. At lunch there are special and light cues. Although its dating is difficult, it is assumed to have been built during the late Romanesque period, judging by the construction technique, exhibiting a Gothic character due to its trestle-style deck. Formed by a single perfect arch, with the pillars rising directly from the banks (a feature that ensures greater longevity for Romanesque bridges compared to Roman ones) it provides communication between the villages of Bustelo and Boim.

Characterized by a strong rural component, this set was once the centre of a playground area, in the town suburbs, organized in several farms, most of them long lost. Standing out there is a small house from the “pombalino” period, on the north top of the square, the asylum-school building “Viscondessa dos Olivais”, with more noble characteristics, and the Santa Mary church, with an initial 17th century sketch and profoundly altered after the earthquake.

Accessible by car almost to its end, Fajã de São João, the largest fajã on the southern coast of the municipality of Calheta, is a must-see for anyone seeking tranquility in landscapes of rare beauty. Its steep location is sometimes synonymous with tragedy, and the fajã's population has suffered a number of setbacks, from pirate raids to natural disasters.

From the bridge over the Coura River to the mouth of the Minho River, you can enjoy the stunning river scenery. At low tide, the Minho River practically disappears, revealing the hulls of fishing boats. At high tide, the river reflects the verdant Spanish side in its waters. Those driving along the EN13 can appreciate the scenery, but only on foot can you truly experience the immersive landscape.

Departing from the beautiful Pinhão Station, where you can admire its 19th-century tiles depicting life in the region, you can enjoy the magnificent panoramic views that Pinhão offers: two intersecting rivers, the station itself and the railways, and the train bridge, all integrated into the beautiful green hills.
