Opened in 1968, this equestrian statue in bronze, made by the sculptor Barata Feyo. It represents the mythical nobleman Vímara Peres, the presumable commandant of the troops that occupied the city from 868 to 1071 and that, in some way, presaged Portugal’s autonomy.

A bronze bust over a granite base with the inscription: “Father Artur da Assunção Saúde performed his duties in this parish from 1/2/1908 to 30/5/1967. He arrived poor and left poor".

Public fountain from the D. João V period, with two ajutages and a large tank. This magnificent baroque construction is located in front of the Manga Garden, at the place where the Santa Cruz Tower once was. It is sided by the Montarroio stairs.

The building of the Jesuit College was founded in 1660 from the project of Bartholomew Duarte. The College has a church nave, the widest of Portimão. Currently, in the side of the building, bodies are installed the Parish Council, the Museum of painting and the support center for the elderly.

This church was built on the 16th century and it was reconstructed after the 1755 earthquake. On the outside it is worth to mention the façade topped by a triangular pediment and finished by a cross. On the inside, the nave is split from the main chapel through a stone triumphal arch.

Founded during D. João I Kingdom, it presents one façade from the first half of the 17th century in Jesuitical style. On the main chapel altar it stands out the altarpiece in fifteen hundreds stone with Christ Supper.

The Church of the Venerable Ordem Terceira de Nossa Senhora do Carmo, one of the most important religious monuments in the Algarve, was inaugurated in 1719. The Capela dos Ossos, inside it, was built in 1816 with bones from a nearby cemetery.

Baroque church dating from the 18TH century, consisting of a longitudinal plan, with a nave and a chancel more narrow and low. The interior was much altered, having been added a floor. Abroad, highlighting the main façade and in the interior, to the pulpit.

This megalithic monument, recovered at the end of the 1990s, consists of an elongated polygonal chamber, tending to be rectangular, with nine pillars and a medium corridor. It is assumed that it had a first phase of funerary occupation in the transition from the 4th to the 3rd century BC.

Church dating from the 17TH century, the present features of Mannerist and Baroque architecture. It consists of a nave, a chancel and two domed towers. In the 20th century, were transferred to this church the tiles that cover the walls of the Igreja da Misericórdia.
