In the vicinity of Castelo Branco, in a high place of great natural beauty, stands a hill of quartzite formation, with strong endogenous vegetation and from where you can contemplate beautiful panoramic views over the Tagus Valley and the city. At the base and on the hill there are traces of the Roman presence in the region, as well as marks of a prehistoric past. Proença Júnior was the first archaeologist to be interested in this place, having found in 1903 three inscribed stelae from the Bronze Age.

Church whose Patron Saint is Saint Martin of plans. Presents religious architecture, Romanesque-Gothic, Mannerist and Baroque. The Church is simple, with longitudinal plant nave and chancel. Encompasses a triumphal arch coated the Mannerist carved and gilded chancel altarpiece johannite. The pulpit is 17th century standing on the side of the Gospel.

It was built in the 16th century and remodelled in the 18th century. Emphasis on the exterior door of the sacristy, 16th century; for the 17th century main portal and for stone grave cover with engraved inscriptions, 17th century.
