A Casa-Museu, que ocupa o edifício onde Abel Salazar (1889-1946) passou os últimos 25 anos de vida (1921-1946), tem como missão pesquisar, conservar, interpretar e expor o legado do seu patrono, bem como contribuir para o estudo e divulgação da vida e obra de Abel Salazar e proporcionar experiências de educação, fruição, reflexão e partilha de conhecimento em seu torno.

Após três anos de obras, o antigo Grande Hotel Guadiana, datado de 1926, renasceu como Grand House Algarve.
