The restaurant Bola de Prata, on guard, reopened in 2013, with a new approach. From traditional snack bar is assumed now with a modern Tavern, with traditional dishes and good snacks. Gizzards, woodpecker, blood sausage and pig ear Guard are some of the options to consider. Church dating from the second half of the 16th century. Religious architecture, with a regional character. Parish church with a wide nave and a three-leaf façade, following an architectural scheme common in the region in the 18th and 19th centuries. Highlights include the 16th-century collateral altarpiece in polychrome Ançã stone, perhaps originally from a Coimbra workshop that followed João de Ruão, the Neo-Gothic altarpieces with carved carvings, and a late 18th-century sculpture in polychrome wood (Our Lady of the Rosary).

Convent located out-of-doors, where Peter lived. In 1246 was already built and in 1634 the community already had 28 brothers. With the expulsion of the religious orders was turned into barracks. Underwent restoration and now houses the District Archives of the guard.

The Mountain belongs to the Old Massif to the South of the Tejo and occupies the regions of Grândola and Santiago do Cacém. It has its highest peak at the Cume da Atalaia whre one can find the imposing ruins of the Church of Our Lady of Livramento. From the mountain one can view the ocean and the planes of the Alentejo region. It is 20 km long.

A typical restaurant whose decor includes paintings of monuments from the region. It feature regional specialities and game dishes during the hunting season. It is alsoa barbecue house. Some dishes have to be pre-ordered, namely the "cozido à portuguesa", the "borad beans à moda da casa", the "pica-no-chão rice" or the boar with chestnuts.

Placed on the north side of Rossio, the National Theatre Dona Maria II, which name pays homage to the daughter of Dom Pedro, was built in the 1840s by the Italian architect Fortunato Lodi. The façade of this neoclassic building is composed by six columns coming from the São Francisco Convent and is ended by a triangular fronton where the figures of Apollo and the Muses are sculpted. On top of the fronton is possible to see the statue of Gil Vicente, maybe the most important Portuguese dramaturge of all times, considered to be the father of the national theatre.
