The Oliva Art Center is an exhibition and collection management center created in 2013 as part of the project to reconvert one of the most symbolic industrial buildings in São João da Madeira - the Oliva factory and foundry. From its origin, the Art Center houses two large private collections: the Norlinda and José Lima Collection, one of Portugal's largest private collections of contemporary art; and the Treger / Saint Silvestre art brut and singular art collection, one of the largest of its kind in the Iberian Peninsula.

The Teatro da Vista Alegre was created, almost simultaneously with the factory, for entertainment of workers and residents of the housing project. In 1851 it was rebuilt and decorated with ceilings adorned and curtains adorned. For decades played host to plays, dances and concerts of the Philharmonic from the factory. In 1905 and again in 1970 is the target of renovations that give the current traits. Inactive for many years, only in 1998 was recovered and re-opened. The Church consists of two volumes and by a nave, chancel and vestry. On the facade can be seen two Windows of lintel rectum and, Center, on the pediment are the Crown and the Royal arms. Inside, one of the highlights is the chancel, late-Baroque style. The hospital consists of two floors, and in the second, you can admire a tile Panel commemorating the founding of the Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Almeida. The interior still preserves the mortuary and a former Fund-raiser, who had direct access to the Church.

The milestone, one of the testimonies of the Antiquities of Oliveira de Azeméis, was found during the demolition of the Church of Ul, in the late 18th century. Removed from their place of origin had several locations, finding itself today exposed at the square near the Church. This milestone marks the 12TH Mile until Langobriga (Civitas in Fiães, Santa Maria da Feira) and probably the Mile route between 16TH LX Braga and Lisbon, and was erected during the rule of Emperor Tiberius, between 23 and 24 of our age.

Located close to the Double Doors of Santo António, this building, with Baroque characteristics, impresses with its architecture with a long and narrow rectangular plant, distributed over two floors with transversal, vaulted barracks and a fireplace. The monument was built in the 18th century by the Count of Lippe, a German military and politician who served in the Portuguese Army, and functioned as an Infantry Barracks. Featuring a royal coat of arms on the façade, the Quartel das Esquadras is the final object of a set of infantry barracks with the same typology, usually visible in the Alentejo squares.

Another work by the architect José Francisco de Abreu. José Bernardo de Sousa da Câmara was municipal councillor in 1752 and retired in 1798 from the rank of sergeant-major of cavalry, having died shortly after. The House was left to a niece-d. Rrr Xavier Caetano de Aragã. Is the largest manor houses of the village and retains its residential function, in great condition, outside and inside. The facade follows a sober style and symmetrical. Inside there is a chapel and several neoclassical murals.

The Pedro and Ines footbridge, designed by engineer Cecil Balmond and Adam da Fonseca, was built under the program to link the banks Polis, right and left of the Mondego River. Inaugurated in November 26, 2006, presents 275 meters long, four wide, having half a square, with eight feet wide. The bridge is in wood and guards from the Board (protection grids) present four glasses different colors: yellow, blue, green and pink. The crossing was already regarded as an icon of architecture.

This is one of the oldest chapels of Beja, founded in the end of the XIII century as the vault of the knight Estêvão Vasques. In 1915 it was given to Santa Casa da Misericórdia of Beja, and ended up as a barn. In 1940 it was restored and reopened to cult. It is a chapel with a single nave and main chapel, totally arched, a characteristic of the gothic style during D. Dinis period, with French- Burgundian influence.
