Water fall with ten meters high, located in an area with grottos, stalactites and stalagmites. The access is done going up the river until the point where it is no longer navigable and, from then on, by road to São Domingos de Asseca. This area is characterized by its willows and cane-plantations.

This is where Leonardo Coimbra was born, on December 30, 1883. He was a politician, a philosopher, a writer and a pedagogue. He was also a minister and a co-founder of the Faculty of Letters in Oporto.

From the second highest parish in Portugal one may view one of the most dazzling landscapes that the country has to offer. From the top, at an altitude of 1052 metres, one may view the Montemuro mountain with the Paiva valley to the north and the granite Caramulo mountain to the south. One should also go down to the village of Pena and to its schist covered valley.
