The Port tonic bar is located in one of the most famous streets of the night from the port, the decor is de Paul Wolf, cocktails, inspired in port wine and music a return to rock and pop of the years 80 and 90. Built in the twelfth century, and classified as a National Monument since 1910, it is one of the best preserved castles in Portugal, with its distinguished Keep, considered one of the most beautiful military buildings in the country. Also, noteworthy is the elegant Citadel and the heart-shaped walls and its typical houses. On the north side of the walls, stands the "Princess Tower", where, according to legend, a young Moorish girl loved by a Christian lived as a prisoner.

Former manor house built in 1686 stands out for its 18th century architecture. Has rim in granite, arched Windows and staircase facing the square. To point out, in this monument, a chapel and the arms of the family arranges with shell holder.

The typical houses are made of bricks, painted in white, with granitic structures and little decoration. In the town-planning, you can see the central area, delimitated by the old roman wall, around the ancient forum, that is used still today for religious, administrative and cultural purposes.

One of the most famous ice cream shops in the capital, being one of the pioneers in the art of making Italian-style ice cream. Even today they do by hand. In addition to the cups and cones, have their own packaging that preserve the ice cream cold home.
