Quinta do Castelo is a natural space with over 300 years of history, located on one of the slopes of Castelo da Feira. It is a very well-maintained park, with centuries-old trees, trails, an artificial lake crossed by a bridge, and an artificial grotto of rare beauty reminiscent of Gaudí's art. With the construction of the Alqueva dam, old Luz, of Paleolithic and Neolithic origins, was submerged, as was Lousa Castle, of Roman origin, and some Roman road crossings the Guadiana. Earthen dam located in Ribeira de Sor, an area with large cork oak forests. It was built to irrigate the fields of the Sorraia Valley. The reservoir, with a length of almost 20 km, extends from the vicinity of Ponte de Sor to close to the village of Montargil.
