Mannerist and neo-classical Church, simple longitudinal plant consisting of a nave, a chancel and a vestry located near closer, with homogeneous coverage in gable roof. On the main façade, highlighted by the axial portal and Bell back perfect and, inside, highlighting major altarpiece carved neoclassical polychrome.

The original building was built in the 18th century, but after a collapse in 1882, it was rebuilt in 1883/1986. It has a longitudinal plan with a single nave, with a rectangular chancel and a gabled roof covering in the nave and a three-pitched roof in the chancel. Outside, the highlight is the bell tower and the depressed arched portal.

16th century temple with Renaissance portal, which features two busts and a bas-relief with the Lady of Mercy. It is topped by three images and surmounted by two oculus. It has a single nave, highlighting the blue and white tile covering, with flowers motifs. The classification covers the entire filling.

The name of this village originated in Couto de Avão, because there was no bridge over the Alva River and the Moura Stream, so the old town could only be entered by fording (ad vadum).
