A lagoon of approximately 1.3 km² with an elongated shape, formed by two main lagoon bodies connected by a narrow channel. Surrounded by vast sandy cliffs, this location has calm waters and serves as a refuge for migratory, aquatic, and wading birds. It is believed that this lagoon may have been the Tagus River's route to the sea, located 150 meters away. This fish spawning ground has protected dunes.

A leisure area that includes gardens (water, scent, and color gardens), a central lake, infrastructure for a restaurant, kiosk and terrace, a designated dog racing track, a children's playground, and a small skate park. The space also features sports and recreational equipment geared towards sports and recreational activities.

It belongs to the parish of Valada and is one of the few fishing villages of Avieiros, who came from the Vieira de Leiria area, that still maintain their characteristics. The writer Alves Redol, known for writing about the Tagus River and its people, was one of the most famous inhabitants of this typical fishing village. The houses are colorful and made of wood, of the stilt house type, supported on pillars, in order to prevent the occurrence of floods, which normally plague this region in winter.

This sports and cultural complex is the largest green space in the city and a favorite spot for the residents of Cartaxo, and not only them. Besides a large lawn and an area with large trees, including a "hidden" bandstand, it houses facilities such as municipal swimming pools, tennis courts, and four rings for other sports. It also has a children's playground and houses the Rural and Wine Museum and the Viticultural Promotion Center.

From Ancão (east of Faro) to Manta Rota Beach, the Ria Formosa presents itself as a unique configuration that gives the Algarve's leeward coast a special color. The 60 km that make up the Ria Formosa Natural Park are composed of semi-still waters, mudflats, mangroves, salt pans, channels, and five islets. Barreta, Culatra, Armona, Tavira, and Cabanas are the names of these constantly transforming sandy formations, which, separating the land from the sea, create an extremely rich natural barrier in terms of flora and fauna. It has been classified as one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Portugal.

Ideal for sport fishing enthusiasts, the mouth of the Guadiana River offers excellent views of the neighboring country. In Castro Marim, with the widening of the riverbed, the area classified as a Nature Reserve is dominated by salt marshes and former rice paddies. The Guadiana River runs for 830 km and is navigable for the last 48 km, where its width varies between 100 and 500 meters.

Spanning approximately 8 hectares, this pleasant green space features a snack bar, sports fields, fitness trails, changing rooms, a parkour track, a playground, an amphitheater, and a chapel.

This is a viewpoint filled with evocative marble plaques bearing excerpts from poems by famous Portuguese authors who studied in Coimbra. It also has an area called "Retiro dos Poetas" (Poets' Retreat), with effigies of authors such as Eça de Queiroz, António Nobre, and João de Deus. It offers a magnificent panoramic view of the city.

This is one of the most beautiful city parks in Coimbra, with flowerbeds and leafy trees, dedicated to leisure. The Mondego River forms the backdrop. It features some statuary and a beautiful bandstand by the architect Silva Pinto. On sunny days, there are plenty of activities for all tastes and ages. The Choupal Forest is one of the most beautiful spaces in the city, possessing flora and fauna difficult to find elsewhere in the country. It has few specimens of the trees that gave it its name, with the exception of some species such as the white poplar, American poplar, and black poplar. Despite the aging of its vegetation, Choupal is still the most famous park in the city. The Coimbra Equestrian Centre is located here, where horseback riding is possible.
