Designated a Property of Public Interest in 1978, the village of Piódão is located near the Hermínios Mountains and is one of the oldest settlements in the country, unique for its clustered layout surrounded by an extensive green expanse. The village originated from the need for concentration and settlement of shepherds who lived in the surrounding area. Its landscape and architectural ensemble is remarkable (with schist being the main material used in construction). The PO.RO.S – Portugal Romano Museum in Sicó presents the theme of Romanization, paying particular attention to its influence on the Sicó region. This interactive experience focuses on the Condeixa municipality's museum collection and high-quality content produced by leading experts on the Roman presence in Portugal. Furthermore, contemporary museography supported by cutting-edge technological systems transports us on a journey back in time to the Romans.

The typical houses are made of bricks, painted in white, with granitic structures and little decoration. In the town-planning, you can see the central area, delimitated by the old roman wall, around the ancient forum, that is used still today for religious, administrative and cultural purposes.

Center installed in the former SIBIL whale factory, which was dedicated to transforming large cetaceans into oils and flour. You can see various manufacturing equipment and an exhibition on the biology and ecology of large cetaceans. It also has a bar, a shop and an outdoor leisure space.

The plan of the ruins reveals the charcateristic shape of a roman villa, with a indoors atrium surrounded by a gallery of columns. In the southern part of the ruins, one can see the "nympheum", a sanctuary built in the 4th century, devoted to the water divinities and later transformed into a paleo-christian temple.

16TH century Church, despite the Renaissance façade, located next to the hospital, consisting of nave and chancel. In its interior you can see magnificent pieces of religious art, carving and tiling. Today, in addition to church, it is also Health Center of Vila Viçosa.

Tranquil beach, difficult access, with approximately 150 steps. The right side of the beach is usually used by nudists. The recess of the cliffs you can see the Cape St. Vincent. Nearby is a 16TH century fortress\/XVII which bears the arms of Dom Sebastião.
