Located at an altitude of 588 metres, near the border, between the Malcata and Gardunha mountains, this village got its first charter in 1180. A fortress sin the beginning of Portugal, it used to have a castle of which only the watchtower, a part of the donjon and some parts of the walls remain. A special note to the church of misericórdia, from the 16th century, with a manuelin portico, the pillory, the old Paços do Concelho, the convent and several chapels.

The Moinho da Senta is located in the Natural Park of Serra d'Aire and Candeeiros, dating its ruins from the 13th century. In an authentic nature reserve which is the pine forest of Camarido, in a fairly dense forest and quite sought after by tourists and caravanning site, one may find the Cristelo picnic area. Between the Minho estuary and the Atlantic Ocean. River's side Walks and across Moledo do Minho with his well-known beach and respective strong. Further inland, the railroad gives a very special color to the place.

The fortified village typical of the iron age, known as the Reserve of crows or Ravens, Couto dos is a stony elevation where there are three lines of walls in polygonal granite irregular unit, which develop in parallel for This aspect, taking advantage of the crags and endowing the slope of embankments where would meet the housing structures. The high altitude at which this castro is (1200 m) makes this area an excellent viewpoint of the region of Barroso.

Located in an area of high ambiental quality, the Academia do Sporting is a luxurious sports complex that comprises a central building with two floors, two sides (on for the formation ranks and another for professional soccer) and seven soccer fields - five of which with natural lawns and 110 x 70 m; one with a synthetic pavement and 90 x 70 m; and yet another with a synthetic pavement but 60 x 40 m.

This museum, dating from 1916, began to function on the premises of the Cathedral, and only in 1938 it moved to the Paço dos Três Escalões. Of the many pieces on display, we highlight paintings by Grão Vasco, from the Cathedral, the Episcopal Palace of Fontelo and churches and convents in the Beira region, as well as paintings by different contemporary artists. Furniture, sculptures, jewellery, Portuguese faience, textiles, oriental and archeology porcelain are also on display.

Religious type architecture consisting of: nave, chancel, vestry and Bell Tower. The façade, in granite, is preceded by staircase which ends at wooden door, on top by a rectangular window. At the top you can see the Latin cross and, next, the Bell duo Tower. The interior retains the wooden floors, the tiles on the walls and the altarpieces of carved and gilded white, one dedicated to the image of the Virgin and the other to the Senhor dos Passos.
