An isolated beach surrounded by a sea of dunes and by the Leiria pine woods. Nearby, there is a picnic area with a fountain. There is also a sulphur medicinal fountain.

A beach with a vast expanse of sand and several dune systems, secluded and of great natural beauty. It is one of the few golden beaches in Portugal, deserving this title because it preserves the ecological balance of the area.

The beach is located in the centre of Albufeira and owes its name to a huge rock on the sand. The views from the cliff are spectacular. In the vicinity there are very many restaurants.
