A Cascata Fecha de Barjas, mais conhecida por Cascata do Tahiti, localiza-se em Vilar da Veiga e as suas águas são provenientes do Rio Arado. O seu acesso não é fácil, só sendo possível por caminhos pedestres algo sinuosos, mas vale a pena pela beleza natural do local.

Discovered in 1947, these are the largest caves in Portugal. They are configured like a gallery/room/well and their formation is due to erosion and to tectonic changes. There are subterranean lakes and rooms with lovely calcareous formations. There are two elevators and a depth of 110 metres. Here one finds the Grande Lagoa (Large Lagoon), formed by the Rio Negro (Black River), a subterranean water course that, in the winter, forms the Mira de Aire Lagoon.

Surrounded by the Pinhal de Quiaios and green fields, Lagoa da Vela has an elongated shape and runs parallel to the sea, about five kilometers away. It is the largest lagoon in Bom Sucesso, two kilometers long and 300 meters wide. Its depth, about five meters, makes it little vegetated. It has an abundant aquatic fauna and is connected to the Foja river through a stream.
